The prestigious Iowa State University Cardinal Key Honor Society welcomes new members annually each spring. On Sunday April 14th an elite induction ceremony was held in Ames for only 58 selected ISU students and two faculty member inductees.

Our local area was honored to have two students included in this distinguished Cardinal Key induction ceremony into Iowa State’s highest honor society.

Local inductees honored were Maddilyn Klemme of Preston, the daughter of Matt and Erin Klemme, and Kesley Holdgrafer of Bryant, the daughter of Gary and Lisa Holdgrafer.

Membership selection is based on the four cardinal virtues of leadership, service, scholarship, and character. All Cardinal Key applicants go through a rigorous application and interview process. Membership is extremely limited and may not exceed 1/2 of 1 percent of all seniors, and 1/3 of 1 percent of all juniors.

Klemme and Holdgrafer both have a year left of attending classes on campus at Iowa State before each plan to graduate in May of 2025.
