St. John’s God’s Work Our Hands- Adopt A Highway Cleanup Ministry. 81 degrees out and sunny, hard work and then enjoyed Jackie’s Ice Cream together when the work was done. The Preston Lions Club cleaned up a similar sized pile of garbage in another stretch of Highway 64 earlier in the week.
Seven full bags of garbage and some miscellaneous items collected in just one stretch of highway.
Combing the ditches and roadside for all types of garbage. Many types of beverage containers are found in each clean-up day.
Dedicated workers walked the stretch of Highway 64 from the Quarry east of Preston to the Lagoon Driveway on the east side of Miles picking up trash and making out environment cleaner and safer.
