Goose Lake Senior Citizens

There were 23 women and men who attended seniors on December 18^th. They were there to celebrate Christmas and the end of the year card playing until next year. The ham for the potluck was favored by three sisters. They were Shirlee Andresen, Pat Driscoll, and Jan Bormann. They prepared it for the dinner. Peggy Jenkins was with the seniors. Jan Bormann brought treats to celebrate her birthday on December 16^th. The local newspapers were great with putting the monthly meetings in their papers. Thanks to them. They are the Clinton Herald, The Preston Times, and the Dewitt Observer. Pat Driscoll returned home from Florida to attend seniors. There were two men joined the seniors. They were Mervin Koch and Richard Knabel. They were welcome to the group. 500 cards were played and the winners were Rita Powers, Lucille Schoel, Bonnie Murphy, and Marianne Jess. The seniors will meet on January 15^th, 2025 at the Goose Lake City Hall at 11:30 a.m. for the potluck dinner followed by playing 500 cards. All seniors are welcome.
