Ms. Julia from Jackson County Conservation brought a box turtle to visit the summer reading participants.

A little time to kick back and visit with other moms and a babysitter and discuss a book for book club.

The after-summer reading program picnic lunch was enjoyed both inside and outside the library.  This group decided to use the Market Square area across the street from the library.  A wonderful spot to have a picnic!

There are two kinds of snakes- huggers and kissers. Even though this snake is a hugger it decided to give the Preston Public Library a little kiss on the cheek for allowing her to come and visit the library and for such fun at the summer reading program.

Shaylyn and great-grandma Caroline enjoy spending time together at the library.

Many hands make for a very large railroad track and rail yard!

These boys enjoyed spending time together and discovering new computer games to play.

Not everyone was interested in meeting the milk snake that Ms. Julia brought with her, but several did decide to get close and greet the summer reading program guest.
