Discover nature this summer with day camps at the Hurstville Interpretive Center and other county parks. Jackson County Conservation is excited to offer both day camps and overnight trips for area youth this summer!
Registration for summer camps begins at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, March 25. All camp registration is online and are first-come-first serve. Day camps are held for youth currently in kindergarten through 8th grade. Overnight camps are for youth ages 12 & up. Thanks to Friends of JCC, scholarships are available for youth that would otherwise not be able to attend camp because of the cost.
Youth will be immersed in nature, while learning more about wildlife, plants, habitats, and Iowa’s natural resources. Camp activities are hands-on and allow youth to explore the outdoors.
Two overnight trips for middle and high school students will expose youth to camping, paddling, hiking, and learning outdoor skills.
