On Tuesday we traveled to Midland to play Midland. They have a new coach and a young team. They battled us and got a good start, at the end of 1st quarter it was tied 15-15. Our kids kept battling and we got ahead by 6 at 1/2 time, 27-21. The 3rd quarter the kids settled down and started playing good defense, the shots also started falling. EV was ahead 55-28 at the end of the 3rd quarter. 4th quarter we were able to relax and put some subs in, they played hard and ended with a score of 69-39. Easton 20, Nolan 16, Justin 11, Jeremy 10, Kyler 4, Callan 4, Austin 2, Keagan 1 and Stephen 1.

On Friday we traveled to Clarence to play North Cedar. Like the Midland game, North Cedar came out hot and made their first 4 out 5 shots, which were 3 point shots. We found ourselves behind 11-15 at the end of the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter we changed the defense, the kids worked hard and we pulled ahead 28-26. The 3rd quarter the kids wanted to change from the 30 press to the 40 press, that was a good decision as we took over the game and at the end of the 3rd quarter the score was 54-31. Again, in the 4th quarter we were able to get subs in and they played hard, the subs got some good minutes in. EV won 77-42. I would like to congratulate Nolan Sandholdt on his FIRST TRIPLE DOUBLE, he had 18 points, 13 boards and 10 assists! Great Job Nolan!
