We are introducing a new section called “You get The Last Word”. We asked the residents to finish the following sentence: “My oldest friend is …” Delbert W. said: “My oldest friend is my first cousin, Allen. He lives South of Dallas, Texas. We were farm boys, just a couple of miles South of Green Island, and I was just a couple of miles South of Allen. We would ‘tear around’ the farm buildings and jump in the grain bins. Allen got married and moved away to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Then, later, Allen moved to Texas, and I went to see him in 2014. This brings back many good memories of my oldest friend, Allen!”

(We want to thank Delbert W. and family for sharing his memories of “the past” with us. Hopefully, sharing and reminiscing, will bring some smiles to your face, as you read this article.)
