The Quad Cities’ & Clinton vibrant music scene is buzzing with excitement over Loess Hills, a rising country group blending heartfelt storytelling with dynamic performances. Comprised of Alex Fischbach, Tanner Skiff, and Ro Pesci, this trio brings a unique blend of talent and local pride to their music. Alex, known for his soulful and seasoned vocals, gained national attention as a top 50 contestant on American Idol XIV. Tanner, a multi-talented artist, made waves with his music featured at Kinnick Stadium during the 2019 Iowa Hawkeyes’ Homecoming game and boasts collaborations with country star Jelly Roll. Ro, a powerhouse performer with a rich musical heritage, has opened for Nelly at Rock the District and carries forward the blues legacy of his father, a founding member of the legendary Peña Brothers Blues Band. What sets Loess Hills apart is their deep connection to the local community and their roots in farming life. Both Alex and Tanner hail from families with generations of farming history, an influence evident in their authentic lyrics and work ethic. Drawing inspiration from their rural upbringing and diverse musical backgrounds, Loess Hills has already made an impression, with the release of their single “Cowgirls for Life” setting the stage for what’s to come. With a sound that’s equal parts soulful, unique, and undeniably Midwestern, the group is poised to bring the heart of Iowa to a national audience. Keep an eye on Loess Hills – they’re a group destined to leave their mark on the country music world. Loess Hills’ music can be found on the group’s Facebook page or music platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music.
