Hello Everyone,
If you, friends or anyone in your family has heard the words “You Have Cancer” you know how scary and overwhelming that can be. The American Cancer Society is here to help with this. The funds raised through Relay for Life support the many missions of the ACS. These include phone help lines, wigs, Hope Lodge, Research and many other things. I have been involved with Relay for Life of Jackson County for over 25 years and have seen many results from our fundraising.
Relay For Life uses the color “Purple” to symbolize awareness of all types of cancer, hope, and the unwavering fight against the disease. Purple is also associated with uplifting feelings, encouragement, and increased meditation.
We are looking to promote Relay For Life of Jackson County throughout the county this year. If you would like to help us Paint the County Purple in June, please reach out to me. Suggestions would be to display purple items, signs, a banner or any other idea in your business, home windows or yard. We would love your support to help us educate people about Relay for Life. We have mission signs, yard signs and posters to loan you for this activity.
Relay For Life of Jackson (and surrounding areas) will be held on June 27, 2025, at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. Save the date to join us for a fun evening of Celebrating, Remembering and Fighting Back. Watch for more information on all the events that will be taking place between 5 and 10 pm that evening.
