The Easton Valley Trap Team has had one busy spring so far. Mother Nature has not rained the team out yet, but the temperatures have been on the chilly side. Although the weather has been cold and dry, the kids’ shooting has been heating up. All seven kids have been competing in almost all three disciplines each weekend: singles, handicap, and doubles trap.
In the senior varsity division, Clara Weber is leading the way. In the last four meets, she has earned six first-place finishes. Evan Harms has been dominating the rookie division, with eleven top finishes. Along with their wins, the team has racked up 25 victories in total and has claimed ten second-place finishes as well.
Now, they’re down to the final push before state in June. They’ll be shooting more each week to improve their individual league scores, competing with youth from across the state. In the next four weeks, they will be shooting somewhere every Saturday and throughout the week.
