By Coach Ray Bormann for the Preston Times
Defense led the way with seven forced turnovers. Wyatt Sullivan had two fumble recoveries and an interception, five tackles. Kinnick Ritche five tackles, Kameron Wilson seven tackles, Brantley Green three tackles and a forced fumble, Kayden Kilburg a fumble recovery and ran it in twenty yards for a touchdown. Conner Budde with an interception, Brennen Heiar with six tackles and an interception ran back thirty yards for a touchdown, Elijah Schmidt a tackle and forced fumble. On special teams Wyatt picked up a kickoff at the one-yard line and ran it back seventy-nine yards for a touchdown. Wyatt led the offense with three rushing touchdowns of sixty yards, five yards, and ten yards and three two-point conversions. Kinnick with a thirty-five rushing touchdown and a ten-yard receiving touchdown, Kameron with a fifteen-yard touchdown run and three other runs of twenty yards each, Brennen Heiar a nice thirty-five-yard reception for a touchdown. Lucas Bormann a ten-yard run for a touchdown. Another great team victory. We end our season with a perfect 6 win and 0 losses. Great job boys! I would like to thank bus driver “Fritz” Fuegen, Logan Wagner filming, Lee Ehlers announcing our Homecoming games, our two water girls Tenley Miller and Braylee Ritche. Most of all “thank you” parents and football players. It’s been a lot of fun. Until next time “Go River Hawks”
