The Easton Valley elementary students marched with their class missions, parade style during a River Hawk Rally.  A mission march is part of a program entitled, Leader in Me, that the elementary adopted a few years ago.  The program is based on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and is implemented to assist with greater academic achievement, decrease disciplinary issues, and establish a greater engagement among parents and teachers.  The students gain greater confidence in themselves.  Each class brainstormed and wrote their own mission statement that will help them make the best choices and learn during the school year.  Community members were invited to the rally and to hear each of the mission statements as read by class representatives.

We Work Together, Play Together, Learn Together.

Each of the class representative carried the banner with their class mission statement and then read it out loud to the assembly.

We treat others how we want to be treated, we work hard and try our best and we work hard to learn every day.
