Members of the Miles and Sabula Fire Departments invited the volunteers of the Goose Lake Fire Department to assist with a controlled burn and gain additional practice working together in the event of other fires and emergency situations.
Chief Maze of the Miles Fire Department keeps an eye on the burn and communicated with members of three local departments as the fire grew.
Controlled burns create a great opportunity to train with mutual aid partners. Members of the Goose Lake Fire Department watch as the fire grows and uses equipment to help control the fire’s direction.
