On Sunday July 6, 2025, members of Calvary Lutheran Church in Sabula, IA celebrated reaching their cereal collection goal with a cereal box domino effect. The video of this can be found on their Facebook Page. The original goal was to collect 100 boxes of cereal, but with the help of the community, they collected 245 boxes of cereal, 14 boxes of pancake mix and 14 bottles of syrup. All items will be donated to the Sabula Food Pantry and Blessing Box. The Sabula Food Pantry may be located inside Calvary Lutheran Church, but it is a community food pantry. Let’s all work together to stock it’s shelves this summer. During the month of July, they will be collecting canned fruit and fruit cups. If you are called and able to do so, we encourage you to buy a can of fruit while at your local grocery store and support this cause.
