The Annual Sabula Benefit Trail Ride was held on Sunday, September 7th. The ride this year was organized by Deb and Don Warner. Along with the help of neighbors, friends, Deb and Don’s daughters Amy and Emily as well as the landowners who allow the horses to travel across their land. Deb mentions “We give a special thank you to Eugene Gruhn who allows the use of his land to park and assemble every year for this event. The ride went very well with perfect weather and very giving riders.” A delicious lunch was provided by Schlect’s lunch truck. Overall, the ride had a total of 112 horses that showed up to ride eight and a half miles through the beautiful countryside north of Sabula. Don and Deb family, friends and neighbors have been doing this ride for over 20 years and love being able to give back to their community.
