Preston American Legion Auxiliary met on November 11, 2024 at the American Legion Building. 11 Members were in attendance and recited the Pledge of Allegiance and the Preamble to the
Legion Auxiliary. A moment of silence was held for departed veterans and auxiliary members.
Phyllis Frett moved and Jeanette Lane seconded to approve the minutes. Motion carried. Donna Banowetz moved and Diane Miller seconded to approve the Treasurer’s Report. Motion carried.
Jane Bormann and Marilyn Marvin entered the meeting.
Discussion Items:
The yearly Veteran’s Hospital supplies list and clothing donation needs and information sheet will be put in the Preston Times for your viewing in the week of November 11, 2024.
Megan Sullivan stated that 37 members have paid dues and the Goal is 74 members.
Megan reminded all of membership dues are $26.00 for Adults, and $4.00 for Juniors.

February 10, 2025 is the next scheduled meeting. Megan Sullivan moved and Linda Skoff second -No meetings in December and January. Motion carried.
The Holiday Dinner for all Legion and Auxiliary members will be November 21, 2024 at Geno’s. 5:30 social and 6:00 dinner. All are welcome. Della will purchase one gift certificate each for the men and women drawing.
NOTE: This year the Preston Holiday Walk will be held on December 6 and December 7. Due to the recent ruling by federal and state mandates for the Ambulance Service, Megan moved and Marilyn seconded to contact members with the following options:
Would you like to bake for the Bake Sale held at the Legion Building on the above dates? These dollars will be used for the Veteran’s Hospital, as usual, along with any items from the drop box, which will be located at the bake sale table for collection of your items you would like to donate.
Also, you have the option to make a donation of your dollars to our first bakeless bake sale. These dollars will be matched by the Auxiliary to donate to the Ambulance Service for this update of life pack support devices used for emergency patients. These dollars will be sent to the Ambulance Fund.
