Tony Cram, of Teeds Grove, Iowa, passed away on September 11, 2025, at the age of 66. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19, at Law Jones Funeral Home in Preston, Iowa. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, September 18, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Born on July 12, 1959, Tony was the son of Ralph and Madonna (Jensen) Cram. He was raised on the family farm outside Bellevue, Iowa, where he developed a strong work ethic and an early knack for fixing anything mechanical. Tony assisted not only with farm chores but also worked alongside his father in home construction around Bellevue. He graduated from Bellevue High School with the class of 1977.

On September 27, 1980, Tony married the love of his life, Nancy Burmeister. Together, they shared 44 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and memorable adventures—from senior prom to honeymooning in Colorado, and celebrating their 25th anniversary at Niagara Falls. They especially cherished taking motorcycle rides and trips through the countryside.

Tony dedicated 33 years of service to LyondellBasell in Clinton, Iowa, where he formed lasting friendships and was known for his quiet reliability. A man of many talents, Tony was a skilled baker—famous in his family for his homemade fudge, jams, and squash pie. For a time he was a member of the Elk River Aviators, a casual group of friends who enjoyed flying RC airplanes, often involving his sons in the fun.

An avid tinkerer, Tony had a passion for clocks, sparked by his success in restoring a century-old timepiece. His home eventually became filled with the tick and chime of the many clocks he lovingly collected and repaired.

At the heart of Tony’s life was his family. As a husband, he was kind, patient, and devoted. As a father, he led with quiet honesty and unwavering support. And as a grandfather, he was deeply proud and joyful, cherishing every moment with his grandchildren.

Tony is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Cram of Teeds Grove; his sons, Darrell (Tracy Davis) Cram of Clinton and Cory (Jessica) Cram of Teeds Grove; and his five adored grandchildren: Makyla, Maleah, Louis, Devante, and Savanna. He is also survived by his five brothers: Jesse (Roxann) Cram, Faron (Jackie) Cram, Shane Cram, Logan (Patty) Cram, and Micah (Jolene) Cram; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Madonna Cram, his parents-in-law, Wayne and Dorothy Burmeister, and one daughter, who’s life ended before it began, but remained forever in their hearts.
