The Annual Night Hike sponsored by Preston Growth and Development, The Preston Lions Club and Jackson County Conservation was held at the Plastics Unlimited Parking lot and followed the bike and walking path leading from Preston to Spragueville.  The families were treated to a pre-hike meal grilled up by the Lions Club and upon their return they were treated to s’mores and hot chocolate around the fire pit.  Macey Yaeger of the conversation office brought a fox fur and an owl wing to share with those present and she talked about animals in the area and especially nocturnal animals.

Enjoying a hotdog with Grandma Nancy before heading out on the trail.

Traversing the trail with family and friends.  Lots of good conversations and many giggles.

Ready to climb the embankment and get to the fire pit for s’mores and hot chocolate.

Learning the fine art of roasting marshmallows (and keeping them on the skewer).

Getting close to the gravel road trail crossing.
