Game one went to Midland 3-1. Pitching dominated as Jeremy Weisfpenning pitched a two hitter with twelve strikeouts going the distance. Tough loss as the offense only scored one run driven in by James Buhlman with a single with the loss River Hawks eight game winning streak ended. Overall record dropped to eleven wins and seven losses. Conference record eight wins and three losses.
Game two the River Hawks bats came alive with ten hits with Callen Messerich leading the way with two hits including a triple and two RBI’s, Blake Bowling also tripled with two RBI’s and James Buhlman a double. Wyatt Sullivan delivered the game winning single to put the River Hawks up 2-1 and never trailed again. Justin Weisfpenning tossed a seven hitter striking out eight in a complete game. Defensively Aiden Eickert had a nice defensive game. With the win River Hawks record moves to twelve wins and seven losses and ended the conference with nine wins and three losses.
