Game one saw an outstanding pitching performance from Justin Weisfpenning as he tossed a three hitter with eight strikeouts in four innings. Aiden Eickert pitched the fifth inning with one strikeout. Offense was led by Jeremy Weisfpenning with three hits including a double and two RBI’s and 8th grader Wyatt Sullivan with two hits and six RBI’s. Blake Bowling also had two hits including a triple. With the win River Hawks conference record moves to seven wins and two losses and overall ten wins and six losses.
Game two also seen a great pitching effort from Jeremy Weisfpenning as he tossed a no hitter for 4 2/3 innings with ten strikeouts. James Buhlman came on in relief to finish the combined no hitter with three strikeouts. Leading the offense was Aiden Eickert with two hits & RBI, James Buhlman a hit and two RBIs and Zach Heister a hit and two RBI’s. With the win River Hawks overall record moves to eleven wins and six losses and conference to eight wins and two losses. River Hawks finish regular season with double header Monday July 30th at Midland and senior night on July 1st with Camanche. Until next time “Go River Hawks”
