Animals of all shapes and sizes have adapted their own unique way of getting around. Swimming, flying, running, jumping, sliding or climbing, animals use these locomotion’s to find mates or food, seek shelter, and escape from danger.
An Animals in Motion program will be held at the Hurstville Interpretive Center, Maquoketa, on Saturday, June 1 at 1:00PM. Join naturalist Macey in learning about how and why different animals move, watch and compare the movements of the Center’s education animals, and end with an activity to test out your own skills at being an animal in motion.
