Easton Valley Boys Basketball Team Takes Two Losses Back-to-Back

We had 2 tough road games this week and I thought our team traveled well. Tuesday night we traveled to Lisbon, and we had 2 players out due to sickness. We played good defense and were hitting a few shots and found ourselves behind by 10 points at 1/2. 27-37. In the 2nd half the team kept battling and played hard, the kids that played did play hard but in the end, we came we short 46-61. Easton 15, Jeremy and Justin 8 each, Nolan 5. Blake, Keagan, Houston, Kyler and James 2 each.

Friday night we traveled to Prince of Peace, I told the kids if we played a good game we should be right there at the end of the game, they did just that. We came out and played hard but found ourselves behind at halftime 24-38. The 2nd half we made some defense changes, and it seem like the kids started to find their groove and we slowly started to chop away at POP lead. The kids showed with a lot of character and got it tied up and sent it into overtime! OT, we took a 5-point lead and that is when the best player in our Conference for POP took over the game and scored the rest of the points to pull out a victory. 63-66. We had a great crowd at POP. Thank you to all who traveled to the games. Callan 13, Nolan 13, Justin and Jeremy 10 each, Blake 6, Keagan and Easton 5 each and Steph 1.

The JV went 2 and 0 with 2 great games and raised their record to 12 and 5.

This week we host Marquette for senior night on Tuesday and finish the season on the road Friday at Edgewood Colesburg.

I would encourage any fan that can make games this week to come and watch, the kids are wanting wins this week!
