Manicures” were held with the residents [at the Mill Valley Care Center (MVCC)] during the afternoon on Friday with Theresa S. (staff).

“Music with Ray & Doris Theisen” was held for/with the residents (at the MVCC) during the noontime on Friday.

“Dominoes Games” were held with the residents during the afternoon on Friday.  “Ice Cream Sundaes” were served after the games.

“Card Games and Reminiscing” games were held with the residents during midmorning on Monday with Theresa S. (staff).

“Making Homemade Ice Cream” was held with the residents during the afternoon on Monday with Theresa S. (staff).  Thanks to Kindal Klein (Dietary Supervisor) for her assistance with this Activity.  Special Thanks to Jill Nolting for lending her Ice Cream maker to us.

“Memory” games and “Chair Exercises” were held with the residents (at the MVCC) during the midmorning on Tuesday with Theresa S. (staff).

“Bell Choir” was held with the residents during the afternoon on Tuesday with Susan E. (staff).

Thanks to Pat Roling (volunteer) for hosting “New Year’s Eve Bingo” games, held with the tenants [at the Sunrise Villa Assisted Living (SVAL)] during the afternoon on Tuesday.

Special Thanks to David Eischeid (volunteer art instructor) and Mary Kubik (volunteer), with Laurie Anderson (volunteer) for visiting and hosting “Artwork with David & Mary” (an artwork class) during the morning on Wednesday and helping our small group of resident/tenant art students unlock their art talents.

Thanks to Jeanne Weber, with Maryetta Lampe, Linda Bennett, and Lynn Muhlenhaupt (family/volunteers) for assisting at the “Bingo” games during the afternoon on Wednesday.

“Musical Exercises” were held with the residents (at the MVCC) during the midmorning on Thursday with Theresa S. (staff).

Thanks to Loras Weber (Deacon, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bellevue, Iowa), with Carolyn Weber, and Jr. & Laura Steines (volunteers), for hosting the Catholic Word Service and Communion (at the SVAL) during the midmorning on Thursday.  Thanks to Jr. Steines (volunteer), all the staff/volunteers for assisting with residents and tenants, and with reciting the Rosary prayers.  Thanks to Carolyn Weber, Laura Steines (volunteers) for assisting the distribution of Communion to the residents (at the MVCC).

“Tenants Council Meeting” was held with the tenants (at the SVAL) during the midmorning on Thursday

“Resident Council Meeting” was held with the residents (at the MVCC) during the midmorning on Thursday.

Thanks with appreciation to Kim Moore’s Class (Marquette High School; Bellevue, Iowa) of 8 students (Maya Hoefelmeyer, Cate Otting, Claire Mier, Tate Kueter, Layna Goerdt, Sylvia Atkins, Grace Gerlach, and Adelyn Steffen) for their visit and playing a variety of games with the tenants during noontime on Thursday.

“Snowman Toss” Game was held with the residents during the afternoon on Thursday with Theresa S. (staff).

KMAQ Radio Bingo is held (Monday through Friday) every afternoon from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm.  (MVCC is a sponsor.)

Special Thanks to Lenae Sieverding, Theresa Schwager, Season Kutsch, Jill Herrig, Alison Meier, Megan Meier, Melissa Koch, Kayla Blaser, MaryJo Konrardy, Kindal Klein, Courtney Maxwell, CNAs, John Rubel, and all the other involved unnamed staff and volunteers for assisting Activities during this past week.
