Friday night we traveled a 2 hour bus ride to Starmont and played a team that was determined to play well at home.  EV watched film on Starmont and at that time they had 2 players out, our kids had to adjust to those 2 players being back for their first game on Friday night.  It was an even match but found ourselves down by 4 at halftime.  We made some adjustments and played hard in the 2nd half and had some chances to take the lead but just couldn’t do it.  In the end we lost by 3.  Ev 56-59     Nolan 16, Easton 13, Callan 10, Justin 7, Keagan 6 and Jeremy 4.

Saturday afternoon we had the makeup game against Monticello at home who is ranked #7 in 2A.  We knew we had a big task ahead of us.  The kids found some energy after getting home late the night before and tried to stay close in scoring.  End of the 1st quarter, we were behind 9-17 and still battling.  The 2nd quarter the kids started to get a little sluggish and just could not handle one of the best men to man defense I have seen.  We were down 15-41 at halftime.  The team continued to work hard but in the end, we lost 32-70.   Easton 12, Steph 6, Callan 5, Justin 3, Nolan, Kyler and James 2.

This week we have Springville at home on Tuesday, Cal-Wheatland away on Friday and Manny’s shootout Saturday.

The JV team won at Starmont and lost to Monticello.

Tuesday January 21 will be the annual Athletic Booster Cake Auction.
