“Christmas Exercise Games” were held with the residents at the Mill Valley Care Center (MVCC) during the midmorning on Friday with Theresa S. (staff).

“Christmas Games” were held with the residents (at the MVCC) during the afternoon on Friday with Theresa S. (staff).

Thanks to Vincent S. and Merle K. (tenants, volunteers), and Linda Bennett (family/volunteer) for hosting the game of “Dominoes” during the afternoon on Friday.  “Ice Cream Sundaes” were served after the games.

Thanks to Susan Lucke for playing favorite Seasonal Piano Music for the residents (at the MVCC) during the evening time on Friday.

Thanks to Marlyce T. (tenant, volunteer) for leading the Rosary prayers for the Catholic tenants at the Sunrise Villa Assisted Living (SVAL) during the midmorning on Sunday.

“Coffee, Rolls, and Conversation” was enjoyed by the tenants and families (at the SVAL) during Sunday morning.

“Exercises with Ring Toss” games were held with the residents during midmorning on Monday with Theresa S. (staff).

Special Thanks to Jr. Steines (volunteer) for hosting “Euchre Games” with the residents (at the MVCC) during the afternoon on Monday.

“Seasonal Adult Coloring” were held with the residents during the afternoon on Monday with Theresa S. (staff).

“Games” were held with the tenants during the afternoon of Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

“Exercises & Reminisce” were held with the residents, as the Christmas Decorations were collected and placed into storage for another year during the midmorning and into the afternoon.  Thanks to Theresa S., John R., and Joy M. (staff).

Thanks to Rita Miller (volunteers) and Vincent S. (tenant, volunteer) for hosting “New Year’s Eve Bingo” games, held with the tenants (at the SVAL) during the afternoon on Tuesday.

Thanks to Jill Herrig (staff) for bringing in her young dog “Gracie” for the residents to pet and enjoy during the afternoon on Tuesday – (“Pet Therapy”)!

“New Year’s Eve Party Celebration” with the residents (at the MVCC) featured singing Happy New Year’s favorite songs, holding an ultimate New Year’s Eve Countdown with two blasts of confetti sailing throughout the dining area amid the wearing of New Year’s Hats, sounding of cheers and applauding, were held on Tuesday.  The whistling noise makers continued as the beverages and cookies were served during the noontime on Tuesday, with all the staff and residents participating in this grand event!

“New Year’s Party Celebration” was held with the tenants (at the SVAL) singing Happy New Year’s favorite songs, wearing New Year’s Hats, sounding cheers and applause!  The whistling noise makers continued as the beverages and goodies” were served on this New Year’s Day involving the tenants and staff in this grand event!

Thanks to Loras Weber (Deacon , St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bellevue, Iowa), Carolyn Weber, and Betty Portz (volunteers) for hosting “Prayer and Communion Service” (at the SVAL) during the midmorning on Thursday.  Thanks to Carolyn Weber  (volunteer) for reciting the Rosary prayers.  Thanks to Carolyn Weber (volunteer) for assisting the distribution of Communion to the tenants and residents.

Thanks to Betty Bakey and Beth Michels (family/volunteers) for assisting at “Elder Bingo”, followed by “Euchre” was held with the residents and tenants during the afternoon on Thursday with Theresa S. (staff).

Special Thanks to Lenae Sieverding, Theresa Schwager, Season Kutsch, Jill Herrig, Alison Meier, Megan Meier, Melissa Koch, Kayla Blaser, MaryJo Konrardy, Kindal Klein, Courtney Maxwell, CNAs, John Rubel, Joy Marchiando, and all the other involved unnamed staff and volunteers for assisting Activities during this past week.
