It’s been a passion for Kendyl Driscoll the past four years to help raise money for the Iowa Children’s Hospital to help give back to the hospital that continues to help her through her journey with Ulcerative Colitis when she was first diagnosed at two years old.

This past weekend, the fourth annual side by side event kicked off at Downtown Pub in Preston followed by stops at Horizon Lanes, Bellevue, Kalmes, St. Donatus, Bubba’s, LaMotte and Whispering Meadows, Springbrook. Jeronimo’s Food Truck was on site before and after the ride.  A live auction was held back at the Downtown Pub. The silent auction was new this year which was a hit!

Kendra Driscoll said, “The day of the event was beautiful and so great to see many returning supportive friends along with several new faces that we love to see”.

Kendyl and family are very thankful for all the support from everyone who participated in this year’s ride.

“I appreciate everyone making the effort to come to our fundraising event for the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital. We had an amazing turnout for our fourth annual side by side event this year. Everyone’s attendance and local support have played an important role in our event’s success—thank you so much!” – Kendyl Driscoll

Gillet Street and beyond filled with side by sides and jeeps as they readied themselves to enjoy a wonderful fall day and a ride throughout Jackson County.

Having a Bloody Mary and visiting while others look over the silent auction and the live auction items.

Jeronimo’s Food Truck was on hand to serve up breakfast, lunch and supper items to the riders and any community members who were in the downtown area.

Kendyl Driscoll took a moment before the Annual Side by Side Ride began to thank all that have supported her and her fundraisers the past few years. and to share why it is important to her to give back to The University of Iowa Stead’s Children’s Hospital.

Kendyl Driscoll, her sister and a friend, as well as her mother Kendra, greeted people at the main table before the event began. a variety of Hawkeye items and a specially designed ride t-shirt were available for purchase. The ride admission was a freewill donation to the Children’s Hospital.

Ready to ride!!! and maybe scare up a little fun.
