Camp Courageous will host the 38th annual “Cruisin’ for Camp Courageous” on Sunday May 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Presented by the Cedar Valley Street Rods, Cruisin’ for Camp Courageous is one of Iowa’s largest charity Car Shows featuring hundreds of show cars, vintage vehicles, motorcycles, and trucks. Once again, Taylor Concessions Food Truck will be parked on the grounds serving treats including fried Twinkies, and funnel cakes. Located at Camp Courageous, just southeast of Monticello IA, this is a family event with a large silent and live auction, several food stands, music, and craft show. 3D Sound will provide music and commentary. Pin stripers demonstrations will be available on the grounds, in addition to laser tag, kid’s games, face painting, and prizes.
The Camp Courageous train will be running rides for all ages! For $10, enjoy both a zip line ride and a round of miniature golf — accessible for everyone! Plus, take time to explore the beautiful Camp Courageous grounds during your visit.
Pre-registration is open until May 15th for only $15 per vehicle. Registration after that date, and the day of the show is $20. Car registration on the day of the event runs from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. All participating vehicles receive 2 passes for the show. This year, “Top 50” awards will be presented to the 50 entries receiving the most votes from the show’s participants. The last award of the day will be the “Spectator’s Choice” given to the vehicle voted as the fan’s favorite.
Admission is $5.00 for adults. Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. This fee will admit one to all events including the car show, entertainment, and much more. Free parking is available.
Camp Courageous is a year-round recreational facility for individuals with special needs, serving nearly 10,000. It is run on donations, without government assistance, formal sponsorship, or paid fundraisers. All proceeds from Cruisin’ for Camp Courageous go to Camp Courageous.
