Camanche, Iowa – 1ST Gateway Credit Union is proud to announce the awarding of $20,000 in scholarships to eight individuals within its field of membership. These scholarships, part of the ongoing “Sharing Our Success” program, were awarded during the credit union’s 72nd Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 8th, at the Vista Grande, where over 240 attendees gathered to celebrate its members and community initiatives. Designed to support students in their pursuit of higher education, these scholarships reflect the credit union’s commitment to empowering members of its community, fostering growth, and investing in future success.
New this year, 1ST Gateway expanded eligibility to include non-traditional students, ensuring that those returning to school or pursuing new career paths also have the opportunity to receive financial assistance.
“Our Sharing Our Success program is all about giving back to the communities and members that support us,” said Patrick Drennen, CEO of 1ST Gateway Credit Union. “By expanding our scholarship program, we are making education more accessible for individuals at every stage of life. We believe that supporting education strengthens not only our members but the entire community.”
